FINALLY THEY ARE BACK!

I have been SO DESPERATE for decent bike shorts I have been wearing my SHEBEEST TRIPLE S from the late 90's! At that time the pad was purple. These were the only brand of bike shorts I bought. I tried other brands, nothing fits like SHEBEEST, triple s. I had actually given up a few years ago because in addition to this style Shebeest also took away the leg grippers. Out of desperation I googled Triple S a few weeks ago, thinking maybe I would find a pair on Ebay or something. Why didn't anyone tell me they were back! I bought a pair, I just ordered another pair. This is not the original fabric, but it is thicker (and better) than alot of stuff that is out there now. Please don't take these away.

Not the same, but good

I missed the Triple-S short, so when it came back I jumped on it. And I'm happy to report the new version is pretty good, just as comfortable as the old version.

One thing I dislike, however, is the new fabric. The old fabric was thinner. I'm a bike tourist, and rely on washing out my shorts when I get the chance, and hanging them to dry. This new fabric takes longer to dry, which means wet shorts in the panniers and cold, clammy wet shorts on the butt.

Happy to have Triple S back

I've really loved the Triple S shorts and was so glad to see them svaimilablr again. I love the fabric and the fit. Another thing I lived was the minimal but very effective padding. I haven't worn the new shorts enough to know for sure if it will be a problem. but the new padding is significantly thicker. I recently wore a pair on a 65 mile ride with lots of climbing. I rubbed a really bad chafe spot on my leg right where the edge of the padding hit my leg. That's very unusual and may be a one time thing ( I hope!). I did wear them again a few days later (after I healed!) on a shorter ride (30) and didn't have a problem. But, I still liked the fit of the old pad better.

Wanted: Triple S Pro

First the good parts: the fabric is substantial, comfortable, and I like it a lot. No stitching is poking into me, which is a relief. I have not had a bit of discomfort with these shorts. My disappointment with these shorts is that I absolutely love my old (10yr) Triple S Pro shorts, particularly due to the pad that always feels dry and conforms exceptionally well. I was hoping these would be the same. They are good shorts, but at least so far (60 miles over 3 rides) not in the league of my old Triple S Pro.
